i have a 95 and plan on doing the srt swap will a first gen trans be able to hold the power of the srt if so which one would be better i have the 3.55 now but its shot so need new one anyway and if i does how much can it hold up too

yes it can...i've heard people prefer the 3.55. The clutch is the piece you'd have to upgrade first. As for amount of power I don't know....but it can definitely handle the amount of power a stock srt swap can put out

my 3.55 swapped srt is handling great. change to a pt clutch and it'll do fine. or just dont run tons of boost and you'll never have traumatic issues.

thanks i plan on doing alot of work to the motor n such with more power should i just go ahead and swap to srt trans as well

too much to get an srt trans to work right, but a well built 3.55 1st gen trans can handle it.

3.55HD transmissions should be really easy to find in a junkyard from a 2nd gen neon.
