2.4L SRT turbo swap

Post by Tyler » Thu Mar 08, 2007 10:53 pm

I somewhat new to this but Im gonna do it. Other than the motor and turbo stuff what am I going to have to do to modify, to get this to work? What all turbo parts do I need? And can I run PS with the 2.4?

yes on the power steering just need a pt cruiser bracket and 2.0 pump, and I would say srt rods and pistons and new rod bearings, brand new they ran me 260 or something if that

Yea but noone here does it. For me its honestly the cheapest and easiet way. I have a guy that will do it all. I just need the parts/money. That way I can sell all my sohc parts for cash.

right on. saying evry one does it is like saying every one goes turbo or na. fact is everyone does one of the options. it just so happens people are getting into the 2.4 swap now.

Reason everyone does it is because it works and it's damn cheap. Same reason almost all the fast Honda's are CRX's or early 90's hatches and have motor swaps. Light chassis with engines from heavier cars = fast. Why spend $3000 to run 13's on a turbo SOHC when you can run just as fast N/A 2.4L DOHC for less or much faster 2.4L turbo?
