2.4 swap into sohc shell

Post by nuklhed074 » Thu Oct 21, 2010 12:17 am

I hate to make a new thread over old news but i have a few questions and all the posts are so old i'm afraid they would be over looked. I have a 95 SOHC MTX and was looking into a 2.4 swap i have a DOHC TB so i have the DOHC IAC and TPS what else do i need, to not have to change my entire engine harness? Just a Mopar 2.0 DOHC PCM and Mustang GT injectors? also i have a 2.0 DOHC intake so i just have to cut out the bridge for the knock sensor right and i will be using my 2.0 DOHC head with 2.4 cams or should i stay 2.4 head with 2.0 cams?.... and i will be using my NVT 350 i have a 3.55 would the 3.94 be nicer? i'm staying n/a. Sorry a little erratic and alot to answer all help is appreciated though.
My sohc runs good mid 15s should i do dohc?

(shouldnt have to cut anything should bolt up i believe

2.0 cams are more agressive and will give you a better power band and couple hp just remember to flip the cam magnet 90 degrees

3.94 will be great some people will argue but n/a 3.94 rules i have a 2.4 with bolts ons and 3.94 and couldnt be having more fun

i like the 3.55 trans, but its whatever you want. only reason i changed from 3.94 is i lost 5th gear. so if i'm changing it might as well try it right?
It's not the fall that hurts, it's the sudden stop at the bottom!
