they fit but you mite need to reuse your intake maifold. the map sensor and theirs another sensor that were combined in 96 up models..... a dohc motor is the same as a sohc motor just different heads and different pistons. mite end up with a lower cr ratio then what comes stock.

just do a head swap youll lower your compression ratio by like .1 but its not noticable to the least bit. you will have to use a dohc intake mani, the coolant lines also, they're ran differently. the thermostat housing is connected to the intake mani this is why they are different. you also need the idler pully set up for the timing belt, along with the timing covers. the dohc exhaust mani of your choice, header, etc... and a dohc 95 computer. its all very simple if you have the parts, i could do it myself in about 6 hrs with no breaks, its a wkd project. i have all the parts needed to do the swap if you interested

head
pulley setup
95 dohc computer
coolant lines
covers
exhaust mani
intake mani
i have the whole motor if you like just lemme know it has 100,xxx ran good when pulled came outta 98 r/t a guy bought it and used it for parts (he ruined the r/t :( ) to say the least i was pissed what he did to the car lol

dont be afraid of the project its very simple and you can manage it as long as you mechanically inclined

The compression is lowered .4 making it 9.2:1. Still not really noticeable. I have been driving that way most of the year, but I was in a major rush. Highly recommend using the proper pistons.

I have a 95 DOHC intake manifold if needed.

im kinda interested in maybe doin this, since my motor is most likely toast can i do a dohc swap with an auto tranny or am i stuck with sohc. With blown headgasket likely what do you think is better for the money, just replace whole motor with swap in or rebuild current motor buying new gaskets and parts and such

why not rebuild the dohc while you have it out. like change pistons, cams, cam gears, gaskets, rods, ext..
