Lol you'd have to figure out how to get it to run since it won't run on the stock Neon PCM due to the fact that the crank trigger pickup has a different tooth configuration and the Neon PCM won't be able to read it and figure out where the crank is. You'll need to either wire in the SRT harnesses (no thanks) or get an aftermarket standalone like AEM, Tec3, or Megasquirt. Doesn't sound like something you'd be able to accomplish unless you did alot more research.

It's easy to bolt it in, it's no different than any other 2.4L swap. Hard part is getting it to run.

Eh you don't really need THAT many tools. I did my 2.4 to SOHC swap with like 6 sockets, 2 ratchets, and a few wrenches in an afternoon. Also an engine hoist lol. Shouldn't be too hard to bolt it in.

Getting it to run will suck if you don't know what you are doing lol.

yeah...getting it to run..thats always fun...take my advice, get a regular pre-03 2.4...swap to SRT internals, SRT turbo and be happy...but since you already have the engine...get ready for a headache, it can be done, but wiring(for either the SRT computer or MS is a pain in the ass)

p.s. Chip man, I thought you would have one by now, you've been doing this crap longer than me...by far

Eh I'll eventually get a turbo 2.4 in the ACR. I just don't want a turbo car as my DD cuz it would break more often.

actually mine doesnt break too often...unless of course I get too pedal happy, but yeah, for a DD I'd reccomend stockish...just regular bolt ons if you have to have anything...mainly because I always have something on my to-do list with this damn car....right now its rear shocks...get my I/C piping welded up instead of just coupled together, and some wiring issues(I always seem to have wiring issues)

I'll get my DD into the 13's with the engine build I'm doing this fall/winter N/A and will be happy with that. I got other projects that are more pressing than my ACR anyways, like the circle track car and our Busa car and shit like that. Also helping my buddy here get into the 12's with his turbo R/T.

ill let you know how hard it is to do my car is getting done next week and they said it would take them 2 to 3 weeks to do it. plus they are putting a 5 speed and the srt engine in after hours for me so that might be why it will take them that long. i do know you need a stage 1 computer that hasent seen a key before or the stand alone

How much are you paying someone to do that?

with the SRT stuff its not really hard...its just tedious, if you are at all mechanically inclined though I'd suggest helping with the swap so you can learn whats going on
