Booger bushings/bobble strut

Did you buy a part and think it was awesome, or did you think it was a piece of crap? Let everyone know here so we know not to buy the same product.

Booger bushings/bobble strut

Post by fusion210 » Sun Feb 18, 2007 1:25 am

Great pieces! Install is pretty easy. Greatly improves shifting! Very cheap too, Jeff is a great guy to get them from as well as modern or other sites.
Especially if your bushings are worn and your bobble strut is spent.

The booger shifter bushings are without a doubt one of the best low-cost mods for a Neon.
On both of my NYGs, they were the first thing I put on.
As far as the bobble, I went with Vitor's for somewhat less vibration, but I'm certain that Jeff's product is a great piece.
More Neons than sense.

I agree, for the money...these two mods are extremely practical and easy on the pocketbook. The difference with the bushings on the stock shifter was awesome. Shifting felt alot more solid with them installed. I then installed a Mopure STS and that combo was amazing. The solid bobble strut also was a good buy. Although it does conduct alot more vibration and noise throughout the car, it does prevent your engine from moving very much. It really makes it feel alot more solid during shifting in high speed, high rpm situations.

+2 for each. I know I am only one person, but I have owned 2 of each. :)

I'll have a boogermount for sale soon if anyone wants it.

I love bushing as well. I just got a bobble strut how bad does it viberate? Im going to look for some rubber piece to stick in there to get some of the viberations out. I just got it in motor is solid! The old bobble was dead. That explains the terrible wheel hop.

I got my bushings about 5 yrs ago, and they were awesome, I felt an immediate improvement in shifting, with the shifts being crisper and more precise.
