I went to go check out my car a little while ago, and when I turned the car on (couldn't get the engine to start), the positive battery cable was sizzling at the connection with the terminal, and it was more eroded than before. I left the battery cables connected all night...I hope I didn't fry anyt...

Battery died (warning: long post)

Here's the story... A couple weeks ago I was driving around with my girlfriend and I noticed that my headlight beams were flickering. Then I turned on my dome light and it was flickering soon. Shortly after, my battery light turned on. The next day I got my battery and alternator tested at Autozone....

I really don't know why it even sounds like I have an exhaust leak. All the bolts on the header are tightened down as much as possible except for the one that broke. I'm not sure about the one that's behind the alternator bracket though. Maybe that one's the problem. But I'm almost 100% sure the exh...

The exhaust leak is most likely right around the header. I broke the top off one of the header bolts the other day while tightening the bolts. It can't be too big of an exhaust leak though. I doubt it's making much of a difference at all. If I had the time, money, and patience to do a manual swap, I...

Is this odd?

I have a '99 ATX DOHC...supposedly the slowest Neon version made. The only mods I have are the following: -non-stock 2.25" exhaust with gay Magnaflow muffler -Pacesetter header with an exhaust leak somewhere -3.0 CAI My 0-60 time is 9-10 seconds. People have called BS on me many times. What do you t...

Yes the radiator can get hot, but your filter is WAY better off down by the rad instead of the exhaust manny!

I got mine done today. I just cut the piece of exhaust piping that goes down really short so the filter would sit right in front of my ATX and behind that hole behind the bumper cover. I originally tried to have it sit more under the car but because of the ATX, it made it sit way too low...like a co...

I have an ATX and there's just enough room for the exhaust piping to go next to it and down a bit more for a filter to fit on but I think it'll be too low. I know you said if you have ATX you should cut the piping more like 5" instead of 11". But is there a lot of heat that rises off the tranny? Bec...

My front mount is rusty as hell.

How do you fill the mount(s) with urethane?

The only thing is...I don't wanna get something that will take a while to install. A train horn would be badass though.

Meh. Maybe I'll have the mounts checked when I bring my car in to get it checked for exhaust leaks.

I thought it might have something to do with my tranny so I checked the tranny fluid and it's full. So I don't know what it could be other than a mount.

Car shakes while stopped

I've had this problem at least since this last winter. When I stop at a stop sign or light (while still in drive), my car shakes a lot. You can notice it most in the steering wheel. And it makes a loud shaking noise too. It's annoying as hell. Sometimes I shift into neutral while sitting at red ligh...
