its a paper thin rubber diaphragm on the back of the sensor head between the mechanical side and the electrical side. Happens all the time on chryslers.

I solved the problem w/ an autometer :p

whats the rest of your setup?

depends on what your target powerband is. the shorter the runner=the higher the rpm you'll need to maximize it.

on an atx unplug the lockup solenoid on the top of the trans by the shift linkage, exact same thing will happen. If it doesnt see that load ont he circuit its going to assume the trans is not performing right and based on other inputs, attempt to correct the situation.

oh yeah, forgot i have a complete bottom end set minus rings for a 12.5:1 build with eagle rods, je pistons, all bearings, oil pump etc.

Have a set of total seal rings IIRC however they do not fit the grooves in the JE pistons.

lightly spray some carb cleaner around vacum hoses, flanges, injectors etc. Idle will change when you hit the leak.

the pcm's do have a pretty broad adaptive memory for fuel/ignition trims. The PCM is going to look for a lockup solenoid and is going to run on different parameters. When the TPS input drops to zero its going to wonder why its not seeing a gear selection or a lockup status on the torque converter. S...
