Unless I read it wrong abs was never an option on 1st gens, don't know about 2nd gens. Trust me your better off without it.

2 jvc arsenals in the back, mtx terminators in the doors. Found some audiopipes new at a pawn shop for $20 for the dash, they keep up well with the mtx's I do have a 4 channel amp in there to so that helps.

You can find them on ebay for around $20 and they are made with the blue lighting it comes with a small relay box you just wire it in with your parking lights.

You have any trouble with the overlay? I put a new one in mine and the needles kept catching redid the tape a few timea and finally gave up.

Sounds like the soudering is shot, redo it or get another cluster. I would try and find another but good luck! Their are videos on youtube on doing it if you do it yourself, hope this helps!

How long has it been since you changed the plugs? May possibly be camshaft/crankshaft sensors it won't code right away if thats the case, how long has it been running that way?

Stupid question but have you checked your grounds? Made sure the bulbs are the correct part number? Checked the plugs the bulbs actually push into? They sound nuts but you'd be surprised, it does sound like some kind of ground out, keep us posted.
