cluster question....

I have run into this problem with dome lights not working when I switched out clusters, and I was told that you need to replace yours with one from the same model year.

There are differences year to year and this may be your problem...

Figured it out!

Misfire on cylinder # 4 was a bad coil, Hard start issue when cold, was a weak fuel pump that would not hold any pressure when car was turned off. It kept draining back and not holding any pressure.

Applying RTV sealer on the outside is not going to stop the leak. You must remove the sensor. Be very careful, because they are very brittle and tend to be stuck in the hole. They also get a build-up of oil from the inside and when removed, they break. Do the job the correct way once, take it from m...

Sensor?

Oil Pressure Sending Unit is on the drivers side of the motor. Those are known to leak too!!!!!

PCM Questions for a 1998 SOHC/Auto.

1998 Neon SOHC/Auto, 68k miles. DRB tells me #4 cyl misfire. Car is hard starting, runs rough till warm, Both 0/2 sensors , plugs and wires are new.

Can a pcm cause issues like this?

The 1995 steering wheel and airbag are different than my 1998.

I want to use the 1998 stuff but are the electronics the same???

p.s. no cruise control on either set-up.

Are these interchangable??

Are all tilt and no tilt 1995-1999 Steering columns interchangable.

I have a 1998 with no tilt and a 1995 with tilt. I want to install the tilt from the 1995 into the 1998.

Can I do it????

Alt problem discovered

Would a bad alternator do it?? I pulled the alt today to find it would barely turn and small amount of smoke was coming from it. What a bear that was to pull that thing!!!!!! I was going to install a used one but with all thats intailed with it, I went with a rebuild. I will keep you updated to see ...

ASD RELAY PROBLEMS

My 1998 sohc seems to like to go through ASD Relays. What causes these to go bad??

The good thing is that it is common with every other relay in that underhood black box.

I switch it out with the horn relay and the car fires up with no problem.

HELP!!!!!
