OBX diff/rebuilt trans group buy

I've been in talks with Ed Peters about purchasing several new OBX diffs from OBX soon, but my cash flow is down from the recent acquisition of 35 transmissions and insulating my shop. I've been kicking around the idea of having a group buy up front to help fund the purchase of several OBX diffs. I ...

Go for it. The plan is for my gf to bake a ham the day before and then toss it on the grill quick with some grilled pineapple. The grill will be going, it's pretty big. Can do charcoal or gas on it.

2nd semi-annual SW Wisconsin Neon meet

So I had one last October, time for another one 6 months later! April 7th, 2012 at my place in Muscoda, WI. It's about an hour west of the west side of Madison. Let's put a start time around noon, but feel free to show up earlier. Last time we just sat around, BS'd and looked at each other's Neons, ...

Yup, it's a lot more fun with 12+ cars in each class than when there are 4.

Waiting patiently (IE checking every few hours) for this year's schedule so I can start planning the rest of my summer. Gotta make a trip to Texas to visit Ed Peters sometime before June and have a Neon meet at my place in April, among other things non-Neon related.

I'd rather use a junkyard OEM coil than an MSD coil. No need for expensive wires either, I just go with the stock replacements at O'Reilly's for $30.

It's nothing special, just an 8 gauge wire with two rings on the end will work as well.

Im.sure most of us would recommend it as the neon has a horrible reputation for being badly grounded. They aren't badly grounded, but there are lots of grounds that can go bad and cause issues. In any electrical system, a bad ground can cause issues. Some more than others. A 12-17 year old car is l...

I say it is a waste of money. You obviously don't know what's all involved when flipping cars.

Just because your car had a bad wheel bearing, and it sat for a year, doesn't mean the wheel bearing went bad from sitting. Wheel bearings go bad all the time. Same goes for radiators. How do you know they weren't bad before? Yes, they will probably need stuff replaced. Batteries, belts, and fluids ...

They may have problems but that post was a bit on the extreme side. You don't want to buy them all with expectations they don't need anything done.

They're "brand new" 1997 cars. For 4k each I bet they would sell like hot cakes most places. I know here in my city they would. It's an older car with zero miles (maybe 10?) and it runs, drives, everything. That's a steal in my eyes! Depends on what each car needs that's been sitting there. Neons a...
