Road racing with the power steering disconnected is not a big deal, the only thing you notice is more pronounced feedback through the steering wheel (not necassarily a bad thing). As for autoXing, that's a different story; as has been said already, combine the lack of power assist with low speed qui...

Nelson Ledges Driving School Experience

Last week-end I took the Greon to Nelson Ledges for an SCCA 2 day licensing school. SCCA requires new drivers to the club to attend 2 schools and and race in two races before being issued a race license. This school was two one day schools so the requirements could be met in one week end. How did th...

Thanks for the compliments. We put a lot of work into it and it's nice to hear others like it. We put some laps on it yesterday at Putnam Park. 100 Speed was holding a lapping day week-end so we used it as an opportunity to shake the Greon down. We put somewhere between 100-150 miles on it, and it l...

The reason that brake fluid turns dark is due to the fact that brake fluid is hydroscopic. That means it absorbs water. With the absorbtion of water, it also collects and holds any rust that is in the water. A properly maintained brake system should be flushed and bled at least once a year to mainta...

The best advise I can give you is to just do it. Don't get wrapped up in the details, just go and get seat time, the rest will fall into place as you do it. You don't need to do anything to the car except make sure it's road worthy. Tech at the site will make sure the brakes work, the wheel bearings...

Being a long time Mopar guy, Mopar hate is nothing new. I've been listening to folk tell me everything that is wrong with Chrysler Products and how Brand X,Y,or Z is superior for decades. I chalk it up to insecurity on the basher's part. With cars. like a lot of things, there becomes a herd mentalit...

Well, we're over the hump on the fabrication, finished the cage and seat mount yesterday and fab'd up an exhaust for it today. We're waiting on some odds and ends to finish the fab details, such as a quick release for the steering wheel, tabs for the belts, and a correct window net to do do the moun...
