I had one of those its suppose to run behind the motor on the trans side ,but it you switch tubes you can runn it up infront of the battery very easily

if he took it to a shop they general rip people off like that

You could have an early 96 which in case would have a 95 motor in it and as for the brakes its not uncommon for people to replace all that stuff before selling it.It makes the sale faster
