figured I should start a project log for Sweetheart, my '96 DOHC MTX Sport Coupe.

When I got her, August of '08.

swapped out the 'flakes and cheapo, narrow tires for my 04 SXT wheels and some Falken 205/50s, and added an MPx CF lip

New Depos, exports, removed purple tint, and added 7 spokers with Toyo Proxes 4 205/50s

mod list:
2gn console and SXT seats
MPx shift knob
Pioneer CD player

Intrax coils
04 SXT 7 spokes
Toyo Proxes 4 205/50 15s

mid-length header
Dynomax catback into stock DOHC muffler (sprayed flat black)
3.0l intake
K&N
MSD coil and wires
UDP
MM inserts (except trans mount)

Depos
faux-export turns
Export tails
MPx CF lip

coming this week:
my wheels back from powder coating
export mirrors

Iceman (sanding/painting)
CF SOHC hood (needs clearcoat)

Thanks Fuzz! I hope to get this to a point that I can be happy with, and start on a sedan in the next few months. Have the sedan be my DD/family car/toy and the Coupe be my "fun toy"

Haven't updated since I got the wheels back, so I'm updating now. Wheels were powdercoated "almond" not white. Here's shots:

I have a set of export mirrors, an Iceman that I'm cleaning up, a new transmission side mount that I'm gonna get a street insert for (the other inserts are race inserts). Last night I scored a Pioneer CD player with iPod hookup for $45 on 2gn, and tomorrow I'm getting a rear disc setup, Depo fogs, and a port and polished intake manifold in a sweet trade. Intake won't go on until I find a DOHC valve cover to send to powdercoating with the intake, I want them matched to the wheels.

and DOHCRT, dream on. i think the only thing that would pry this lip from my cold dead fingers is a straight trade for ACR BBS wheels.
