i have a stage 4/5 from hahn,

anything past stage 2 is an engine build, actaully stage 3 really isnt a stage it is an engine build lol, so stage 4 and 5 is an engine build necessity

fyi get ready to spend 9500 dollars, if you work one job at kmart for 15 hours a week you could get this project done in about 14 years

i work 3 jobs and go to school, not looking for anyone to blow me, but theres a lot of dreamers out there

i just read this entire thing on the other boards, you hav e no ide whats going on, you hafta do research, UTI isnt gonna teach you everything, i took about 2 years of reading until i started investing in my build and its taken TONS AND TONS of hours, stick to a kit if you are really certain you wanna do this, u dont need to put an srt4 motor in a car to make it fast, plenty of ppl who really push their engines have made 700+ WHP on a 1.8L block such as an acura rsx, displacement isnt everything, and idk what youre talking about polishing a block, the head sure, but make sure u know what a piston and a rod are before doing shit alone.

FYI, youre going to need a mchine shop to do this, as in check clearences, bore, hone, magnaflux a block, check heads for warpage and cracks, and to balance, dont just junp into sumthing and for the love of god, dont put a fucking wing on your car

exactly! Turbos are not Stage 2 or 4. Each brand has there own stage system with sizes and such. So many people are getting screwed up by playing NFS and such putting stage 4 turbos and stage 3 suspensions on their cars....

I can't speak for everyone, but I have owned 5 neons and tried everything you can think of on them. From puting together my own turbo kit based around a precision sc61 turbo to my mostly stock nitrous sedan that ran 13's. People that are in to neons have been around them for a while and did the research or went ahead and threw things together and made mistakes. Stick around and do some research...and some day you can be like us :D

Going to UTI is a good starting point. You will gain more general automotive knowlege there but we will still be here to help with your neon based questions.

To start off:

How much money do you have to spend on this turbo setup?

What is your power or 1/4 mile goal?

This will be a good starting point for what you need and how to get started.
