can mopar stage 1 springs work with our car?

I just picked up a 99 neon, I have a SRT-4 and have had it for 2 years now but I'm curious if the MOPAR stage 1 springs would work with my 1st gen

Stock for stock they fit... the base of the strut on 2nd gens are taller and the spring is shorter than 2nd gen.

Example: If you take stock 2GN and place 1Gn springs on it.. the car is lowered. 1gn with 2gn springs would actually raise it.

I don't know what the Mopar Stage springs would do other than increase spring rate.
