Its the clutch that is modular, not the transmission. All 95 neons have a standard clutch setup. 96 neons can have either, deending on where they were built. If its built in Mexico, it will have the standard clutch setup. USA built neons will have the modular setup.

The difference between the two is ease of installation. The modular clutch is extremely easy to install, hence why they went to it.

not to mention the main factor is that the factory can put the same flexplate on all motors with the mod clutch, regardless of mtx/atx destination.

Ahh cool thx , mine was made in the usa . If it is a modular can i use a non modular clutch setup instead?

yeah all you need is a flywheel and the clutch kit itself. i did it to my R/T when i changed the trans to the 3.55 and i think it works great.
