my friend has a rt dohc, everytime i start it, an let it idle it makes this ticking sound, im tryna fix it, but dunno where its comming from, i put a screw driver on the valve cover, to listen for any strange noises, an nothing, its running smooth in there, but the sound seems like its very near, the driver side .
Also the rpm revs very high, then falls when i let off the throttle at the stop light. Whats Wrong With this dam car...

mine had the same problem,
i drove my mom up to the mechanic to pick up her car, and he looked at it,
said that it was a fuel injector, and that it's not causing a problem, but if it bothers you that bad, then you can just change it.
i have a organ donor, so i found the clicky injector, and replaced it.
no more click. now that that click wasn't there, i could hear the other 3 click, but much more quietly.

Was that the problem?(Injector) if not maybe spark plugs.

i am willing to bet that its a dying injector like was already said. it will cause a loud tick as well as a drop in RPM's when coming to a stop.
