Well i am newish to neons i just picked up my '99 today(7-25-10) i picked up my '00 last Sunday. I think i have a new "crack" i use to be a Honda whore, but now i own 2 neons with in a week of each other as well as a year apart.

here is the specs on the '99.

4dr
142k
auto
its purple

I dont have any specific plans for it yet it does need a few things

Tune up
New headlights
TCC lock up looked at(throwing a CEL)
Fenders
Hood(power bulge)
Rust repair(rear quarters)
Paint(Teal or White)
Swapping wheels with the '00 as it has newer tires and SXT wheels

I am not rocking a purple car, as much as i like purple i just dont want a purple car.

I have always had a soft spot for 1gn's, and i am glad i have one.

Welcome, your purple cars color name is deep amethyst i love it personally, car looks a little rough but love to see what you do with it. Since you also have a second gen recommend you join the sister site 2gn.org.

It def has potential, hope you didn't pay to much for it with the shape it's in. I paid more for mine than I should have, didn't know the motor was blown when I got it.

i dont have pics of both together and my over all investment into the 2g is that i didnt quite pay that for it.

i traded up to it

Civic->Accord->s10->Pathfinder->2g neon

Orig investment of the civic was $270

thus the purchase price.

but here is a pic of it in the same exact spot as the 99

The 2000 is now My fiancee's and my long term project.

It needs a motor(piston slap) and a bunch of bodywork(core support,Front bumper, rear bumper, hood, minor rust repair, paint)

And the SXT wheels are going on my 1g.
