ok, im assuming the SRT TOB wont work on a N/A Neon, but the SRTs looks like a much better design...
Anyone have a 100% that it DOES NOT work in our basic 1gn 2.0 trannys??
Its just a thought, they seem to be better... lol _________________ KEEDY/"KEEDERS"/"KUTTER"

Well from taking my buddys SRT tranny apart and mine as well.. both trannys ive seen the set ups multiple times and I dont remember the 1st gen tranny having the tabs that actually hold it to the fork. Maybe I'm wrong... Idk
-How it sits in this picture, u could basically move that fork back and forth and the TOB not come off the fork..
http://media.photobucket.com/image/srt-4%20throw%20out%20bearing/cowboychuckie/newtrans09013.jpg
-You can see the one side that has a tab that im talking about in this pic. The SRT TOB is the bottom one, the regular Neon one is at the top.
http://www.boogerracing.com/custom/TO-2.JPG
-Theres even a thread of this about someone saying the Regular Neon's TOB will eventually push through the fingers of the SRT's clutch... which I saw evidence of the same problem with this just on a Regular Neon's clutch using its factory TOB.
The area of contact on the SRTs TOB is a lot larger than the 95-05 2.0's TOB.. its hard for me to say if it'd be a bad thing to use one in a 2.0 tranny or if it'd even fit? _________________ KEEDY/"KEEDERS"/"KUTTER"

Feel the same way. Going to use a older shadow style tob the next time I pull the mtx. It will have to be shaved a hair, but the arms are far superior to the tabs on the neon tob. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-FRLtr35ZA |

Im not sure what your saying about the tabs..? i mean the TOB rotates on itself, explain what you mean by that please cause Im just assuming at this point you mean the contact area of the TOB to the clutch is larger(just like the SRT TOB) _________________ KEEDY/"KEEDERS"/"KUTTER"

the only thing the tabs do is help keep it in place while you put it all together. the TOB is in constant contact with the pressure plate once it's all bolted together.
if that's what you're asking about..... _________________ You know me |

Well yea, i kind of wanted to know exactly what they were for, but I am still wondering if SRT TOB will work or work better in the 2.0L tranny than the stock TOB.. _________________ KEEDY/"KEEDERS"/"KUTTER"

1992 dodge shadow tob. Need to shave a little off the inside of the clutch fork. Larger retaining tabs, and clears the NVT-350 input shaft sleeve. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-FRLtr35ZA |

So, have you figured out wether this is better or not? I mean other than the fact the arms are larger.. _________________ KEEDY/"KEEDERS"/"KUTTER"

Better as in what?
As you already noticed, the arms are much larger than the small tabs on a neon and far less likely to break. Not much more to it than that. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-FRLtr35ZA |

All I wonder about is the SRT contact patch vs the T350 TOB _________________ KEEDY/"KEEDERS"/"KUTTER"
