In My truck
I was comin home from work and on the way there is a redlight before the two lanes merge into one and people race there all the time trying to beat traffic. I was at the light in my ZR2 when a riced out honda pulled up and started reving the light changed and we took off I was ahead like 3 cars and I let off than he came up beside me so I gave it a little more and again he starts falling behind than locked his brakes up as the lane dissappered and ended up skidding off the road into the snow.
I have a sonoma 4.3L with a intake, headers exhaust and a 5 peed turning 31" tires.
I would have expected more cause it looked like he put quite a bit into it, well at least the body anyways.

A guy wich I know has a B16 engine block with a gareth K4 turbo.
Now... I don't know what you consider ''slow''... but that's the fastest car I've ever took place in.
0-100 in about 5 sec's.. anyway that's what he says, but I believe it, when he hits the throttle, man... that's just SICK.

let see a 1.6L engine and a t4 turbo, it probably takes him 5 seconds just to spool the turbo
I'm not saying every single civic is slow, there are a few around town i wouldn't touch, but for the most part, most civics with bolt on turbos only run 5-7 psi, so they stay in the 15-16 sec range, it's because stock they are 17-18 cars, neons on the other hand start out as 15-16 second cars, so when you put that same amount of boost on a neon, they run 13-14 sec times,
most honda's i talk to don't believe me when i say a neon only needs 10 psi to run high 12's to low 13's

a kid at work was telling me he was buying a turbo kit for his sohc hyundai accent, and it would blow any neon away even with a turbo'd 2.4BlueR/T wrote:you think thats bad, you should see a turbo kia
the funny part was the security girl was there and she told him that with a turbo and a few more stickers he may be able to catch up to her golf cart

This one had been tuned really good, it's a kind of daily driver, but DAMN that turbo kicks in fast!
@ 4000 RPM it allready kicks in, and he can pull it all the way to 8000RPM. give and take some.

4k rpm is pretty high when you consider the same turbo on my malibu (3.1L stock) would be spooled at around 2.5k rpm depending on the trim.... with my stroker engine (3.65L) it would prolly be spooled by 1.5k-2k rpm with the right cam, again, depending on the trim which im guessing is pretty small to run a t4 on a small displacement engine
most civics ive seen with turbos running 5-7psi (not sohc civics) can run a 14 without issue... the SOHC D series cars will be in the 15 or low 16 range but i dont see to many turbo D's around
