do i need to swap moter mounts

Post by don86s » Tue Oct 01, 2013 10:48 pm

I have a 1998 dodge neon with 2.0l sohc with a bad motor and trans. I found a 2000 2.0 sohc and trans with low miles on it. will my stock mounts work or do I need to get a different mounts? thank you.

the motor mounts are different. the mounts you have are the same from 1995-1999 SOHC and DOHC, but if you change to a DOHC your gonna need a DOHC pcm (ecu computer) from 1997-1999 to run it properly.
My car:
1998 Plymouth Neon EX 2-door coupe DOHC 5-speed with Cruise Control
ATX Throttle body, 3.0 intake with K&N filter, Mopar PCM, mopar motor mount with inserts, Booger Bushings, Rear view mirror with dual lights.
