Hey y'all, cool to actually join this site. I've had my Neon for about three years now and ever since then, I've just been improving him. Bought it a junk yard! Why? It only had 48k on it! Plus the entire engine was still in tact and had only been there about a week and a half. Paid $400, title in hand
It's a 1998 SOHC ATX it has the front bumper with the fog light holes and a tach...not sure it's a sport (rear drums not discs), also VIN shows it was built in Belvadere (?) but anyway, after reading about the head gasket issue I decided to do a complete rebuild. Came out great! This maybe my third car overall, but its been the easiest, cheapest and most fun!
So...it's a pleasure to meet all you guys on here who enjoy the ORIGINAL NEON! Any tips or tricks or cool tidd bits of knowledge anyone can share about performance etc. would be appreciated!
