If i go to the scrap yard tomorrow and got a ecu from a 1998 dodge neon automatic sohc to put into my 1997 plymouth neon dohc will it work or what would i need to get?

there isnt a lot of neons in the scrap yard where i live ?
Red for now , expresso, cold air intake, shaft and knife mod, chipped ...

It will "work" but not recommended unless you really need a pcm. You could daily drive on it for a while, but you may run a little lean at the top end.

so i would need a plymouth neon expresso DOHC forsure ?...

and when i do my 2.4L swap will i keep the same ecu? :?:

you need a dohc pcm from any neon 97-99...and yes...you'll keep it for the 2.4 swap
