WTB: 99 IAC/TPS Sensors

Post by Burks21 » Tue Jun 15, 2010 7:49 am

Looking for a set of 99 IAC/TPS sensors. If you only have one, that'll do. Really prefer the IAC as I am 99% sure that's the culprit.....but while I'm at it I might as well replace the TPS.

Thanks

I'm sorry, I put that in my first message before it froze and forgot to add it again!

DOHC please. Thanks for the catch.

What's your car doing? I think I may have the same problem.

Stumbles like crazy at idle and if you give it very partial throttle (say under 25%), sputters. It got really bad over a course of a few days. I pulled the IAC and it was BLAAAAAAAAACK. Couldn't see any part of it and was stuck. So I gave it a really good brake cleaner bath.

Now the car just has a slight......stumble every 10-15 seconds at idle. Not nearly as bad and it doesn't do it under partial throttle. Instead of having it gum up again or just outright fail completely, might as well replace it.

Had a similar issue with my 95 except it did it throughout the entire RPM range except above 4k RPM. Spent over $400 at shops fixing this and that before I wired in a 97 IAC....problem solved.

Kinda sounds like mine. It will sputter and die at idle (intermittently though), but more so when the A/C is on. Guess I will pull the IAC and have a look. Thanks!
