Complete SRT-based turbo kit for DOHC - $1500

Post by Vinny » Mon Feb 19, 2007 4:34 pm

Just throwing this out there in case anyone wants a package deal.

Includes:
SRT-4 turbofold w/ stock WGA, BOV, oil and coolant lines
-10AN braided oil drain w/ bulkhead fitting and drilled oil pan
ported O2 housing
3" stainless downpipe
custom piping
CNNP FMIC (w/ steel bumper cut to fit)
Chill Facotry RRFPR w/ tuning disk, fuel press gauge and instructions
Slow-Motion Motorsports fuel rail
Your choice of Accell 36lb or Stage 0 injectors
REKIII "Spoolboy" fuel pump and canister
Purolator turbo Dodge fuel filter
stock fuel line (for return)
AN lines/fittings for fuel
Stock O2 sensor with wires extended

I might be forgetting a few little things, some parts have less than 100 miles on them. I would expect shipping to be at least $100 depending on where you live.

Here's some pics:

Yes. I just threw this up to see if anyone was interested in the whole package. Let me know what you want and we'll work out a price. How far from Cincy are you? Meet-up would be preferred.

I failed to mention the IC has the core painted black, and polished end tanks. I was told the IC was CNNP, but he wasn't positive (I bought the stuff from dunny if you know who he is).

I would hate to see such a well done kit be sold off in parts. What kind of boost were you running with this kit?

I was only running 5psi on a stock bottom end and it ran 14.0 @ 99 first time out. With more time to get used to it I feel it could have got a couple tenths quicker and 100mph trap.

The motor died (oiling issue) the 2nd time I took it to the strip, before I could install my Hallman Pro MBC. Stock Neon bottom ends are supposed to be good to 9-10psi, and the guy I bought the piping and IC from ran 13.1 @ 103 at 9psi on an otherwise stock DOHC.

The only thing I am really concerned about keeping together is the IC, cut steel bumper, piping, couplers, T-clamps, etc since they are all meant to work together.

I sure wish i had the money right now, cause that is a very nice kit, plus it would save me alot of time finding all the same parts. Someone will luck out with this awesome deal.

Here are some more pics of the piping and IC.

This one below is from right after I bought the setup, before I media blasted and repainted the piping, before I polished and painted the IC, and before I cleaned up and painted the bumper.

Image

IC after being polished, and I put a light coat of Krylon semi-flat black on the core so it wouldn't be visible through my bumper.

And here's one with the piping all in primer, during test-fitting before I painted it. You can kinda see how it is all routed in this pic.

A few notes about the piping setup:

- Air filter placement is similar to an Iceman
- It will not clear an A/C condenser
- Battery relocation is a must

I think that's it for now, I do have a few more pics I don't have hosted I can put up later.

$700 Includes piping, IC, cut steel bumper, stainless mounting bolts, silicone couplers, T-bar clamps, and K&N filter.

As many people are interested in it I may put it on eBay.

im looking at the picture of the piping (for curiousity sake) and i cant figure out the pipe that runs from the turbo to the IC, maybe the black paint is hiding the bends? i can see how everything else hooks up just not that pipe

The short end of the small U-shaped pipe attaches to the turbo, the long end attaches to the long thin pipe which then goes to the IC.

Does that make sense?

My buddy Jon (jj07 on neons.org) and I designed the piping kit for my stock block setup. I thought it turned out great and only sold it to fund the building of my 2.0L. I'm sad to see vinny parting his setup. The 90 silicone coupler was like $40 by itself...but I don't remember where I originally bought it from. Overall his prices are great considering the cost of materials and labor that went into making the kit. The CNNP intercooler is good for 250-300whp (so I was told). Any other questions just ask and I'll do my best to help Vinny answer them.
