Re: 1998 R/T
according to who? NADA lists a 98 with 129k and every option selected at $3,025 clean retail. which means at a dealer, not private seller. KBB lists a private party value of $2,945 in excellent condition.djatom69 wrote:Car valued at over $5,500
even if this car was in "very good" condition, its value is closer to $2,745. after market parts don't add value to a car. even if you were to take off those parts and sell them seperately, you'd get nowhere near your suggested value price. Neons are cheap, that's why most of us like them so much. right now on Craigslist, there is a 97 with 112k for $1000. if i showed up with $800 cash, he'd take it. your car isn't one of a kind by a long shot. every "mod" you listed has been done by a 1000 Neon owners in the past, 1000's of times.KBB wrote:Excellent
3% of all cars we value meet this criteria
Looks new and is in excellent mechanical condition
Has never had paint or bodywork
Interior and body are free of wear and visible defects
Does not need reconditioning and is free of rust
Clean engine compartment free of fluid leaks
Clean title history and will pass safety and smog inspection
Complete and verifiable service records
btw, i don't say all that to be a prick, its just the facts. i have plenty of other reasons to be an asshole. realistically, you'd be lucky to get $2500 for it.

Was wondering that same thing. I'm scared about the cam lolrobert 'bob' paulson wrote:weight reduction?chipdogg wrote:WTF is a "notched camshaft"?
I would buy this, but realistically, for 4k, my buddy would sell me his BUILT R/T that is turboed, tuned, and has dyno sheets with REAL modifications, a nice clean stock body with original paint, completely original interior and super clean everything.
David? i bet he'd take $3500 Cash if you waved it in his face....2drSRT4 wrote:Was wondering that same thing. I'm scared about the cam lolrobert 'bob' paulson wrote:weight reduction?chipdogg wrote:WTF is a "notched camshaft"?

Haha, David's car is horrible compared to my other buddy's car Not knocking on David's car, but David's car has way too many problems. My buddy's car is super clean, original paint, original and super clean, and like-new interior, a huge list of real mods (suspension work, engine work, trans work, etc.) and he offered it to me for 4k. I would buy it before I would even think of buying David's car.BaLLisTiK wrote:David? i bet he'd take $3500 Cash if you waved it in his face....2drSRT4 wrote:Was wondering that same thing.
