Norwegian gas prices have been around 10$ a gallon for quite a while now... Hate it

Same here. That's something I miss from Tunisia, filling up the Neon for € 22,00.

Gas will not hit $10/gallon in the US. This country will shut down before that happens. Lets be realistic, we depend on gas too much.

Lol, how about shipping stuff out instead of buying more stuff for yourself?

Sell your Neon and get a bicycle though, it would be a good idea for you.

This is going to effect people world wide, and this is all you can say? Get that chip off your shoulder. You are about as nosey as a teenage girl. Go find out why my mounts have not been shipped Nancy Drew.

there is no way that $10 per gallon will happen in the US. heads would roll for gas ever getting that high. A lot of senators, governors and other politicians will not get re-elected, this is why the government needs to stop being the bitch to the oil companies and invest in hydrogen/fuel cell/electric cars so we can move on to bigger issues like social security.

Imagine people working at Walmart or Micky D's making $7/hour. That is approximately $190/week after taxes. And $60 of that just went to fill your neon, thats not gonna fly.

i read some were that the us is sitting on the largest oil strike since the middle east. we have enough oil to make the middle east look like a kiddy pool. were you ask? one is under lake michigan. we cant drill for it because of green peace. the second sits below montane s dakota and one other state. found in the early 30 or 40s iand a way to take it out was discovered in the 70's at that time to take it out would have added 20-30 to the price per a barrel but with technical advances in drilling mite reduse oil by 30-40 a barrel. not to include the oil sands of upper canada and the effects it will have on world oil supplys as the recovering of it becomes cheaper and new processes are made and improved on.

If only that were true. Gas is 3.98 for premium around the corner, and I am quite certain DC is arounf $4.20 by now. Gas has gone up every year since this all began, so why will it stop now? Just because the American people are complaining? We are still putting tv's in our cars, $10,000+ 24" rims on gas guzzling suv's, gambling, speeding, and being all around wasteful. Even on this board. How many have posted anything to the effect of "how can I get better mpg," or "what mtx will give me the best mpg?" Very few. Many still searching for hp and the best transmission, hi compression pistons, or best turbo setup to go fast. This is a two fasted society and the government knows that. Like any criminal mind, if you know you can get away with it, you will do it.

Gas will go up higher to the point where few can afford it. Hell, the fellow in Norway said it is $10 there already. Better get your minds right and plan for this, among other issues we will face. I see Mad Max days on the horizon, where people will be killing each other for fuel. Think it won't happen? We are killing each other over clothes, shoes, cars, women, men, so why will gas be any different?
