Yep, I guess I'm lucky the tensioner stayed on there/I shut it down quick enough. I do plan to put a new engine in, either this winter or more likely next, as I'll be done college by then. I'm looking to see how far I can push a "stock" bottom end with a good ported and decked head, bigger cams and a box intake. If the budget allows it by then I'd also like to try BLE solid lifters, and a mechanical belt tensioner, and maybe try to catch up with the n/a Honda guys.
Either way, right now I'm pinching my pennies because I'm finally moving out of my parent's house, so the car hasn't really seen anything new besides some painted stuff and a new ball joint
I'm also waiting to get paid this friday to get new 16" tires for the BBS wheels, so I'm rocking the bubbles for now. I was also kind of gettin bored with the BBS. Pics of the car on the bubble wheels:
A day at the lake:
Got bored again with the alloys the way they were and sprayed them real quick:
The colour looks wicked (imo) but the paint job itself sucks. I need some sort of petrolium based product to clean them up with and a primer. Oh well, these are my track wheels afterall and I'll be back on the RX2's soon enough.
And yes, I do realize I'm the only one that will like the wheels now
Not much new with 13 lately, but I finally took the plunge and took the PS system completley out. You can see in the first pic how I looped the lines, and the partially wrapped header.
The bay is much cleaner looking without it, and there looks to be a lot more room too.
I do have new pics you might like though.
Stupid wind wouldn't blow hard enough for this pic to be really cool
Isn't NS beautifull?
My two loves:
I'm pulling the engine/trans this winter to clean up/spray the engine bay, and also hopefully painting the car. I'll be changing the colour of the car and the bay, but they won't be the same colour. as each other, either.
The next on the list of things to do are a better coolant overflow, an oil catch can for the PCV system, repaint the VC again, and mm inserts or good filled mounts.

I made a PCV catch out of an aluminum energy drink bottle. Got some vac barbs from autozone, some 4 min JB weld, a piece of 150 grit sand paper, some paint, and patience.
You have to take the finish off of the can where you JB your barbs, or else it wont stick (this happened to me, vac leak FTL).
