So the machine shop screwed up. They bored one of the cylinders .040 over and then realized it was supposed to be .020. I cant get an .040 piston from JE unless its custom ordered, and that would take 3 weeks. Im just going to have them sleeve the block at their expense. Dumb shit.

I would do .040 but like I said, pistons would take too long to get. Sleeving the block will be just as good as new, plus it costs them a lot of money to sleeve the block. Assholes deserve it.

I finished the crank. Its not bad for a stock cast crank, but it needed some improvements. I de-burred the casting lines, chamfered the edges, and smoothed the counterweights. This should help to reduce windage at high RPM's. Now its going to the machine shop to be balanced.

Look in the background and you can see some of the lamp I made from a T-350 neon trans!

I used a combination of a 24 grit open coat grinder, a 9-inch air sander, and the dremel.

I got my block, head, and crank back from the machine shop today, so assembly will start very soon.

I did some more work the past few days, and the engine is now ready to go back in! I also ran my self-ported head on a flow bench and gained 16% airflow! I will post some flow numbers up soon.
