your car is hands down really nicely done. no cut corners, everything done right. i cut so many corners on my car, still functions very well and does its job just wish i had the place, time, and money mainly lol to do the shit right. so hard to modify your car right with lack of money, nice job man, and nice car.

Thanks for the compliments. Sometimes its hard to do things exactly right or how you want them, but if you stay dedicated you will eventually get it done.

Started the car on MegaSquirt today. It started up on the first try and idled. I will fire it up again tomorrow and get my after start and warm-up enrichments dialed in.

let me guess your intake mani is dupli color grey... i love that shade.. if i could find that in auto paint i think i would paint my engine bay that color too.lol. how is the spray holding up in the engine bay? i find if i use engine ceramic clear it works the best nice durable shine. and being wngine bay it would cure alot better too.

I painted the top half with Duplicolor gunmetal wheel paint. Bottom half is raw aluminum (sandblasted).

Final dyno results: 273 whp 274 wtq

This was at 15psi. I can get more out of it, but I decided to keep the tune very conservative to keep things safe. I may try to hit 300whp after I install a limited slip and upgrade the axles. Im amazed at how well the car drives with the Megasquirt. I will try to post a pic of the dyno chart soon.

Those are some nice numbers for what your running. especially the torque. What size tb do you have. If you upgaded the intake manifold you should be around 300 whp
98 r/t: 2.0L=3 spun rod bearings. Starting 2.4L build with srt internals.
14.5@98mph 5psi
srt turbo, stock intercooler, stock downpipe, mpx pulley, 2.5" catback, maddog sts.

Its a 60mm TB. The manifold is ported to match it. I could gain some more power from a different manifold, but I dont need it to hit 300whp. I tuned it very mild, with conservative AFR's and minimal timing advance. I could probably get another 15whp with a more wild tune, but I want to keep things safe. I could also pick up a lot more power running 20psi instead of 15.

Truth is, I don't need any more power right now. Traction is non-existent in 1st and 2nd gear, and it will smoke the tires at peak torque in 3rd. What I need now is a limited slip! Quaife is next on the list. I also need bigger injectors (95% duty cycle is not good). A set of SRT stage 2's should do it.

I really cant beleive how great MegaSquirt is. I drove the car 260 miles yesterday without a problem!

Yea, I thought about going with a slightly bigger turbo, like a GT28R, but the SRT turbo is so much fun on the street and its making good power. It seems like the perfect match for a 2.0L street car.
