'95 N/A SOHC Budget Drag Car in the works!

Shooting for some low 13's/high 12's by the end of summer.

Looking for some cheap magnum valve springs, a solid FMM, a solid bobble, and a nice non-mod clutch setup.

Ok, so I got the Pistons in the block last night.

And then I got everything buttoned up and put the pan back on.

Thats it so far I put the water pump back on today. I'm still waiting on getting my air compresor fixed so i can finish my head portng and get the head put back onwith the crane 14 and magnum springs. I also just bought some AR-24's to mount my slicks on. It's getting nice outside and I'd really like to get this car running cause the tracks are opening. Still a lot of work to do though. Hopefully done and running low 13's by N2k7. Think a 12.9 is possible in the future of this car on a n/a SOHC setup?

Today I started going through the meticulous process of removing all the wiring from my car that I dont need. This includes the wiring for the stereo, tail lights, interior lights, heat/air controls, e-brake sensor, seatbelt/door sensors, turn signal wiring, headlight switch wiring, and basically anything else that isnt essential to the running of the vehicle.

It really cleans things up on the inside of the car and as a bonus I removed about 8 lbs worth of wire/insulation. I still need to get under the hood and remove some excess wiring there.

Woot!

A nice package containing my AR-24's came in on Saturday. Now I can get my slicks mounted up.

Also yesterday I fixed my air compressor so I can recommence porting and finally get my head reassembled and get this bitch of an engine back together and in the car.

Wired up to the brake pedal switch. It's on like a running light normally and then lights up brighter when the brake is applied. Just like a normal brake light.
