Need help with a color change

Post by Erays3r » Wed Sep 26, 2007 3:34 pm

Any photoshop gurus out there willing to give me a hand with giving my car a new paint job. Ive tryed but it always turns out like shit. :)

anyways I pretty much have my heart set on Volkswagan cosmic green, but I wanted to get an idea of what the car would look like. Im going to be taking the car in for paint in the begining of the new year and need to have everything decieded on soon. Im going to be throwing on a CF hood and trunk too , so if that found its way into the chop that would be great.

Heres a couple pics of a GTI with the color in question.

I know right ? I saw that green and that was pretty much it. It has some serious "pop" in direct sunlight.

Actually, I took a class in my Freshman year, and I'm a Senior this year, so simple math will show that yes, I did start "photo shoping" at the age of 14.

This would be much easier with a solid color car.

Quicky... I really need a good color swatch... I can't seem to match the color very well... All four images are different...

the bottom one looks the closest , but its not lime enough if that makes any sense.

And yah I know it would be a whole lot easier to do on a solid colored car :)

thanks for the effort

:edit:

Now that I look again the second one may be the better of the 4.
