98 mag swap vs 05 sxt

Post by INVUJerry » Sun Sep 13, 2009 7:01 pm

So, today I was driving to Panda Express to get food for the family. At a light, some girl in a 03-05 SXT pulls up next to be. It's black, stock height, kinda dirty, has a pair of tinted tails, and sounds like a straight piped car. She's kinda good looking, and has 2 kids with her. She winks at me. Being the happily married guy I am.... I wink back at her. She starts revving her car, so it's a 5-speed. I think, !Muffler Belts!, noone's around, might as well give it a go. I rev the car up to 3200 or so, light goes green, and I dump the clutch. I spin a few feet, bog a little, then I'm gone, adding buslength to buslength on her. I bang second gear, spin into it, look back. She's waaaaaaaaaay back. I think she didn't launch the car, just took off like normal. Meanwhile, I'm over the speed limit (60 in a 50) so I let off, and stop at the next light.

I look over at the girl, and yell "Love you, honey!" She replies "I'm gonna kill you when we get home. What were you thinking launching like that?!" My wife hadn't ever seen me launch the car on the street.

Good times.

The definition of a NEON
A great domestic compact car whose rapidly disappearing taillights are most typically seen through the windshields of Honda Civics, Chevy Cavaliers, and other assorted shitboxes.
