WTF! it a race car, give me a break!

Post by sleeper95 » Fri Oct 31, 2008 11:53 am

So my girlfriend and i are in my car at a red light and i belive a 2005ish silverdo pulls up next to us. Light turns green we both take off and i completly waxed the guy. My girlfriend then turns to me a bitches about me beating my car and that now its going to break! I was like wtf? do you not see the racing seats or harness? or the fact that the car was built for this exact thing, to beat unsuspecting people in races? i laughed but she was pissed fr the rest of the night. lol

I dunno anything about him . first impression seems like a typical ricer that has padded seatbelt covers and thinks he has a racecar from stickers.

I "race" my car (drag). Has WAY more than bolt ons but presonally I dont consider it a race car.

To the O.P, Iam in no way trying to be a dick to you. As I stated I know nothing of you or your ride. No hard feelings.

no hard feelings. you dont know me and i dont know you. I do agree that beating on the car will make it wear out/break sooner, but the way my g/f acted was like she thought the tranny was going to fall out at that instant. I am in no way trying to say i have the fastest neon on this site by refering to it as a race car, but it obviously is not your ordinary daily driver. And i know that having just bolt on performance parts sounds kind of rice, but the car is fast for what it is. Thanks for the interest tho.

well from my experience, 'racecars' are meant to be beat on, and then the engine rebuilt after every race

lol has anyone ever raced a silverado with a 5.7 vortec, id be willing to bet that it would make most of your neons eat its dust and if you think there 18sec. trucks my R/T when it was stock got beat on pretty good by my buddys reg. cab short box with the 350 vortec. just my .02 cents
