So today's victim was a Jeep Wrangler 4.0 whose owner revved his engine stupidly at the red light upon seing my Neon.
New 22 CD XXX plates and "Don't mess with Texas" sticker on the bumper.

Got a half-car length on me when the light turned green (I fear wheelspin due to the differential pin issue on Neons) then ate my dust as soon as I hit 2nd gear. Hahahahaha ! Next please ;)

Nice kill! 4x4 vehicles have good low end torque to get moving, that's why he got a jump on you. But I wouldn't worry about catching up!
I wouldn't do a burnout in my neon like that ever. I don't want it to break!

Diff pin will pretty much only break if your doing burnouts at a lengthy time. If you dump the clutch at 5k and try to do a burn out then it has a chnace but not by wheel spin or wheel hop unless the tranny has been abused in the past.

Tranny's seen a little of legal and street racing but is driven like a granny going to church 70% of the time.
