Neon ACR = Dakota R/T
Me and my friends were up at the local hangout, just chillin' and talking. This one kid who was there, who doesn't show up very often, had his Dakota R/T. I thought I remembered him telling me it was fast, and we decided to go on a cruise. He musta seen the stickers on the rear side windows of my car, and when I started my car, he heard the cams loping, and asked what I had done. I told him, cams, header, intake, exhaust, p/p......yanno, the fun stuff. He smiled, and we both got into our vehicles, and proceeded to the expressway. We slowed to ~40mph or so, where I downshifted to 2nd, and waited for him to get ready. I beeped 3x, and we both were off. His roaring v8 sounded amazing, however my loud ass 4 cyl was droaning it out. We took turns with taking the lead, staying very close to eachother. When I got into 4th we kinda "locked" our speeds together, and continued pulling identically. As I got into 5th gear, I noticed my speedo was PEGGED at 120, and I no longer knew how fast I was going. The expressway had ALOT left, and with nothing in sight. we both stayed in it until it was obvious it was a TIE. I felt good that I kept up with a Dakota R/T, with 4.56 gears, headers, intake, rockers, etc. He gimme a thumbs up, and we got back to the hangout. I wonder if he felt kinda crappy, that a Neon held onto him like that? I'd guess we shut down around 140 or so.

Hehe, I'm not really sure anymore. I dynoed it earlier in the year, basically stock, with only UDP, 3.0L Intake, Mopar Performance PCM, shaved head .030, ATX TB, and a Dynamax Catback, I made 134whp~125lb/ft. Since then, I've gotten a Port/Polish, TTI longtube race header, and Crane 18's. It's untuned as of now, I'd like to guess its making ~150whp now? I unno....

I can tell you, the 95 DOES have a speed limiter.
Mopar PCM does NOT have a speed limiter, rev limter (SHOC) will go up from 6500 RPM to 7200 RPM
DOHC will go up to 7800 if I remember correct.

thanx man, I know the questions I ask sometimes seem pretty dumb, but here in Holland we have other names for this1fast2liter wrote:whp is horse power made at the wheels or wheel hp. hp it self is usally refered to what the motor its self makes....

This is also a great way for me to learn some of those english words about car parts.
For example, I found out that ''intake manifold'' means in dutch ''inlaatspruitstuk''
(lol if u only speak english dont even try to say that word )
Lots of these parts have to come from over sea, so all the words are always in english.
Now I know wich parts I need to order.

I got cams after my head blew apart on a road course during the fall. Decided to rebuild the head with goodies.98moparR/T wrote:justin when did you get cams?
