12.7@112mph
12.7@112mph
I posted this over on the .org but I figured I'd do so here as well:
I FINALLY got my car together and made it to the track....it's been 2 years and I was ready (but very rusty at launching). It was set on 13-14psi and tuned just enough not to blow the engine but not really tuned well (I'm having LC-1 issues so had to borrow a friend's LM-1 and we did our best to get it somewhat dialed in). The results were decent all things considered. Here's the rundown of the numbers:
R/T: .292
60': 2.100 (on slicks but traction still sucked)
1/8: 8.378
MPH: 90.05
1/4: 12.753
MPH: 112.17
I made another pass but missed 2nd so the trap speed was roughly the same but the ET was a 13.5. I may have a clutch problem because I was having trouble getting into 1st and 2nd gears after the first pass....I'll have to look into it. I'm very happy with these numbers considering that I'm probably leaving around 20whp on the table due to the poor tune....and I'd say I have at least another 6-7psi to add. I really want to get on a dyno soon because it is just too damn hard tuning it at 100+ mph....I guess I'm getting old or something because hitting those speeds on a country road and feeling the tires want to break free at 90mph is not something I enjoy
Details about my setup are here:

Next step is to hit the dyno and turn the boost up.....but for now I'm pleased with a drop of .5 and 9 more mph since the last time I ran on a stock block with 8psi

Good shit man! Happy to hear you finally got this thing running after all the trouble you've had.
Was this at Edgewater or Tri-State?
Someday I want to have a car that fast heh.

Tristate at the "Spring Fling" day for turbo dodge peeps.
I'm having some issues still.....got a weird stumble from 2k-4k rpms now.....it is a never ending battle! I will tell you that the pass felt really good.....it made it down the track quick. I spun until 3rd gear...but once it grabbed traction woah it pulled like crazy. I can't wait for more boost and a tune!

I had to have an oil passage welded up and redrilled. The first few photos on my site show it....that is a 2.0L head gasket. That was it - everything else was a direct fit. Nice thing about the swap was that both manifolds worked perfectly (of course) and it has the upgraded valvetrain parts (lifters and lashes). I did keep my 2.0L cams though. I got the head for dirt cheap so that helped out too. I ended spending quite a bit on it overall though after the port work and the valve job / machine shop work. But it seems to scream on the top end so I'm pleased.
