Import Face Off Bracket racing. I am stupid.

Import Face Off at National Trail Raceway in Columbus, OH today.

I ran the 14.99 Bracket Class today. Got through two of four rounds then lost through my own stupidity, noobocity. I had a 14.62 dial in. First round against a 13.30 dial-in Evo. He red lighted. Must have been intimidated by the stock head and bottom end, 118,000 mile, 2.0 DOHC monster that resides in the Neon, lol. Second round up against a new Mazda 6. He posts a 14.60 dial in. I was way ahead and let off to an easy 15.010 win to his 15.268. Next (and final for me) round is against a white '97 R/T. He has a 14.57 dial in. Now for the stupidity. For some odd reason (I've only done Test and Tunes prior) I thought a perfect light was .500,and I've been working towards that goal. On one practice run I cut a .503, thinking .500 was perfect! DOH!!!!! Anyway, the R/T cuts a .155 to my .573, which remember, in my mind is a .073. He runs a 14.765 to my 14.648. Any kind of actual R/T (not Tom's stupid, perfect .500 R/T) would have given me the semi-final which paid out a whopping $40 on a $30 entry fee. I would have run the final, the payout was $150. Not a big deal, but a win on my first bracket race would have been cool. Meh, live and learn. Today, I'm just a little smarter.

Best run today:

R/ T .671
60' 2.136
330' 6.095
1/8 9.386
MPH 76.02
1000' 12.225
1/4 14.636
MPH 93.15

On the first practice run they did some prep, I cut a 2.070 60' :D

No that shit is confusing since everyone is going to the LED trees and shit, at least for anyone who isn't a regular bracket racer.
