Yes.
I strongly suggest upgrading your mids/highs before adding a sub.

One would assume that if you were going to go that far that you would first upgrade to an aftermarket head unit

I don't think tweeters in the stock location are a must. It is a really horrible location for achieving proper imaging and staging. Only install a separate pair of tweeters in the dash if you have some sort of way of attenuating them, otherwise you will havde way too much for highs. Also, if you already have aftermarket coaxial door speakers you will have phase anomalies from the tweeters in the door being a different distance from you compared to the dash location.

That being said, I have an MB Quart component set in my ACR with the tweeters in the dash. I think it sounds like shit personally, but you could hardly hear the stereo over the motor anyway and it was just there for background on longer drives anyway.

In closing, my recommendation would be that if you are going to put tweeters in the dash, to only use tweeters that are part of a quality component set, and attenuate the tweeters as much as the crossover will allow.

If you are serious about making your mids/his sound good, buy or make a set of kickpanels.

the best bet for tweeters is to get those 1" screamers and put them high on the a piller personaly i like to be able to here the words of a song a mile away thats what i think is a good set up thats why you get 6x9 4way 6 1/2 3ways 2 1/2 tweeters those sceamers 1 10" and 1 12"
