if its not all the way to the front pull down on it a little bit so you can get access between the material and the headliner itself, buy some cheap spray glue, spray it in there on both sides and let it sit for a couple mins. after bout 5 mins start in the back and work your way foward pressing it up and smooth it out. it dont take much skill and if you dont mess up it will look like new.

oh, well then i dont see any reason velcro wouldnt work, i cant remember what its called but its like velco, i work at kmart and we have some there. its like a platic velcro that locks into each other and hold way better then any hook and loop tape and its fairly cheap, it comes in a package of four 2-3" sections and one package should be plenty to hold it. sorry if you dont understand what the hell im talkin about, but i cannot for the life of me remember what its called and thats the best i can describe it

Just get some generic velcro tape. You should be able to get it at a parts store. And then put some on the metal, and some on the cardboard. add more if it doesnt hold.

I have tried 3m spray adhesive, some other adhesive, and I even bought some really expensive headliner spray glue and it just wouldn't stick to mine. Someone told me the fabric has to pulled all the way off and redone. Since yours isn't bad you might not be able to tell but mine was literally hanging off in different places. If you can touch the backing the fabric was supposed to stick to check and see if it flakes off in little powder like substance. thats why mine wouldn't stick it just kept pull real small layers of this backing off. Sounds crazy I know, but I don't know what caused the deteriation of the backing piece. When I finally gave up and just yanked it out I had this orangish powder all over my interior.
