Those universal coilovers are designed to be used with the spring perch cut off.

uh, spell check..... and then, cut the perches (?) off. egay coilovers are not the best idea. slightly off in how they work.
It's not the fall that hurts, it's the sudden stop at the bottom!

If done right they can be decent setup, a member on the .org has a great cheap coilover set up using ebay coilovers.

This. If you install them well, and you use the right spring rates, then it's not a problem, and they will work great.

Chris was just one of the guys I was talking about. There's another guy who had an entire thread dedicated to his coilovers.

If everything seems to be in control, you're not going fast enough.

Heating the springs isnt that bad. The dude i sold my ACR to, heated the springs, it still drove fine.. handled fine.. He lowered it about 1.25 to 1.5".
Ba thing is that it'll kill your struts.

Personally, I wouldn't cut or heat mine. If you're that desperate, I would heat them before I'd cut them. Its easier to get all 4 even by using a yardstick or tape measurer and watching the car drop. Just remember, your messing with you're springrate whether you cut or heat, and your struts will not last long. I'd save $100 and just buy a set of used k sports or even eibach sportlines. Or you can get brand new ones for just a bit more.
