Ebay Short Throw Shifter

Post by FlowmasterNeon » Mon Nov 07, 2011 9:47 pm

Hey everyone, I just got my short throw shifter in the mail today and I took my center console out, looked at the stock shifter and just couldn't see how this new STS is going to fit in there.. the stock one has a hole where one of the shift links goes in but on the short throw it's a rod. Anyone have experience with these STS from Ebay and how they work??

Thanks so much

Sorry to say it but you just wasted your money. You could have just cut a couple inches of your stock shifter and ended up with the same thing, nothing. Its just a shorter rod, all its going to do is make it harder to shift because some of your shifting leverage is gone. Take your stock shifter apart and remove your rod and put this one on, its nothing complicated.

I found one of these in the junkyard for 5 bucks. I don't like it. I'm going to get a maddog unit

I have Maddog in the alpine, and a MP STS in my red car... i'll never go back to a stock shifter again.

Lol, I have 2 running Neons with maddogs in them, and 2 more maddogs sitting on shelf in garage. He put one in my gf's '04 when he was here a month ago, she loves it.
