2nd gen tranny's are hydrolic clutch and 1st gen is cable. it's alot of work if you do the hole swap or just swap bellhousing's and your good to go

As long as it's a cable trans it'll work fine. But...do you really want a 3.55? Really? really?

Hydraulic came mid-year 2000. There are still 3.94 trans after 2000. ACR, R/T and PT Cruiser. Swap the bellhousing, check diff preload and drop it in. The 2-3 shift is more friendly for drag racing because of the shorter RPM drop vs a 1st Gen trans.
