I found a motor in the junk yard with a performance centerforce clutch but my clutch bolts to my flywheel from the front with seperate pressure plate and this one looks like the pressure plate and clutch is all one piece and bolts to the rear of the flywheel if I change the flywheel can I use the other one? also I know one is mexican and the other is american are the clutches interchangeable if you change the flywheel?
dont do it, centerforce clutches fo rthe neon suck bad. probablyt worst clutch out for the neon.

what the deal is, is you have a non modular clutch and the other is modular. the non modular clutches have a flywheel and separate pressure plate and clutch, the modular has the flywheel pressure plate and clutch riveted together as a unit and bolts to the flex plate, kinda like a torque converter. I agree I've installed a centerforce clutch and really didn't like the way it felt. Just get a pt clutch. The pt is modular. So to make the swap get a flex plate and the shield that goes in between the engine and transmission from an automatic car and your set. The reason for the shield is yours is a one piece shield and the auto/modular man. is a two piece shield, it allows you to access the bolts to the tq/flywheel. A great clutch I've used also is the Sachs Valeo which if you get an autozone duralast clutch it has valeo stamped on the clutch and pressure plate and is made by sachs so its the cheapest way to get it. They advertise 30% better holding power, I've run the sh!t outta the one in my car. Or I hear good things about the luk clutches.
