AMM intake and a good longtube. not costing much, at this point is not really accurate for a good one. The modern and kirk's are good, BUT for a 2.4 thats a pretty restrictive pipe size, should run at LEAST a 1 3/4" primary, better yet a step tube.

I'm going to play around with some stuff on the racecar as i can but that isn't giong to be alot as we're on a helluva timeframe right now. I havea design that i know works and i'll go with that and improve on it through the year.

Honestly, figure you'll pay $500+ for a good header for the 2.4, BUT if cost is a huge issue one of the moderns will work.

well i already have a kirk long tube you all are right they really open the car up one of my best mods besides motor swap. and im running a ice man intake with a 60mm throttle body. i didn't know that there was a long tube with larger primary's if its on modern i might have over looked it. I think i would invest in it because i already have 2 1/2 all the way back, and when i put the cylinder head im getting machined with the larger cams the exhaust ports on the header should at least be almost as big as the ports on the cylinder head for easy flow, but any way i didn't know if there was anything i was over looking to gain any more power with out major mods. i would love to know where to find that header though

i appreciate all the suggestions (keep them coming)LOL

not anymore, there used to be a handfull of fab shops makin headers for us but FF and BD went under after hammerin alot of people, howell automotive cant get theirs made for whatever reason, and dunno why cory stopped making his.

Darrel Cox racing might be able to make one for you, call darrell and ask him at the shop. can find his number on srt forums.

ok ill probably try to find that number and see what i can get done because when i first put the header on i noticed that the primaries at the flange where the ports started were way smaller than the ones on my cylinder head
