Pistons and rods

Post by StreetEviL » Wed Sep 23, 2009 6:53 pm

Right now I have my 1998 SOHC engine tuned for 7 psi on my 60trim turbo. Im still running a stock internaled engine. I dont plan on turning the boost up or anything, I just want a little more holding capacity out of my bottom end. I was reading up on Keith Black hyperutectic pistons. They claim to be stronger than other hyperutectic pistons on the market. Would these pistons with cryotreated rods, and arp rod cap bolts give me a little bit stronger bottom end?

If you're going to take the time to rebuild the bottom end, do it right. If you just want a little extra assurance until you can afford forged parts, get the ARP cap screws and call it a day.
