relays and nitrous
so i am currently at the moment running a 50 shot but i want to go bigger like a 100 shot i was wondering if relays make the difference in how much you can put threw your car without backfires? it may be a dumb ? but just wondering

Relays??? What do you mean???
ive run as much as a 75 wet shot on my old 2.0l DOHC....and that was with a Mopar Performance PCM....no timing retard!
I wouldnt spray a 100shot on a stock motor tho!!!
Get some colder plugs and run 93 octane....bump that bad boy to a 75shot!!! Trust me, youll like it.

its not stock at all lol i have the colder plugs and all of that i ran a 50 already and a 75 im trying to go more for the summer ill have crane 16s with 10:5.1 compression pistons i really want to push the limit and run a 125 when its all done. but what i was saying about the relays is would that give more power to the solenoids so they can pump harder. i might be wrong but i think thats why im not able to runn a 100 shot, cause im over powering the sloenoids i dont know if that makes sense plz help i want to be in the 12s this summer lol

Change out the jets then to make it a 100/125 shot then lol....AFTER you get that bottom end built of course.
What are you using for timing retard?? What kit do you have??? Wet or Dry???
You dont need relays man...its the jet sizes that determine how much nitrous sprays a.k.a. your "shot", ive never heard of overpowering solenoids before.

ive tryed to run a 100 shot already but everytime i do i get a nitrous backfire im still on stock cam gears but i will have adjustables soon, im not running a mopar pcm because you have a better chance of detanating from what im told. my buddy ran the same set up on a sohc with stock bottom end on a 100 shot and never had a problem. im trying to figure out what is causing it to back fire on a 100 shot.
keep them coming guys thanks

ive herd when you retard the timing you will blow up and i put fresh champion 2 steps colder plugs in the day i tested at the stock gapping for the neon. i just dont get it i can run a 50 and a 75 all day long with no problems but when i put the 100 in all there is after shifting into second is BOOM, and when ever i run the nitrous i hit it at 3500 rpms, i was thinking mabye its starving for fuel, would injectors make this happen? im just confused and throwing any possible thing that might cause it to happen.

No no no....if you DONT retard the timing you will blow up!!! you need to retard the timing man!!!! Zex recommends 2 degrees retard for a 65 shot....and 4 degrees retard for a 75 shot. Lord knows what degree for a 100 shot. I would not try spraying your car again on a 100 shot until you get some kind of timing control!! Also, gap your plugs to .032.

If you have a DOHC engine, you can swap in a SOHC PCM to reduce total timing a little bit. This is a low-cost way of reducing total timing, but you will give up a few hundred RPM from the rev-limiter (not a big deal with stock cams).
If you don't have a wideband to monitor your AFR's while spraying, stop now. Get a wideband before you go any further.
Nitrous users must follow many of the same principles as turbocharging requires. Proper timing and proper air/fuel ratio is extremely critical in either application.
