This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons? just anything that is generally "engine" specific.

2.4L DOHC Chrysler Cirrus Drop

Post by liquidhat » Mon Mar 07, 2011 9:53 am

Complete car to strip, 2.4L DOHC 16V, AUTO OD ATX, Comp, Harness, all electrical.

How simple would it be to get this N/A setup to work, is it possible with minimal to NO modifications?

would it use the same axle stubs and CV's? the cirrus has bad ball joints and owner is selling due to the fact he says it is not worth fixing to him.

I know if i unbolt the motor from the trans i can bolt it right up, but the benefit of having Overdrive would be an added bonus for me.

wishing for an man trans car originally but i can deal with my 4 door neon sedan to have an auto overdrive if it can be done as long as its a 2.4 pushing it.

Just use the engine. The trans is different I believe, and the other parts are different.

trans are very different, axles wont work. just go with the motor swap, you'll save yourself alot of grief, and do a mtx swap while your at it. parts are easily obtained.
It's not the fall that hurts, it's the sudden stop at the bottom!
