is it harmful at all to the engine when the rev limiter kicks in?
i will have the opportunity to put my car on a Dyno this spring and have seen it done before, but iirc, they run it up till the rev limiter kicks in? the car has almost 100K miles, runs pretty good, but i dont want to be so far away from home and have something blow up and be stuck 100 miles from home.

Rev Limiter question
They should ask you what you want them to rev it too, if its still making power when they let off the first time let em run a little higher the next time if you want to be safe.

what dyno you going to im out near you...ive taken alot of cars to the rev limiter....you tell them at the dyno where you want to go to....they will shut it down there

i have a mopar dohc ecu with 7600 rpm redline my car does not make power past 7k shit probably not much past 6700 so i specify my "redline"
